OBESITY AND HEART DISEASE

OBESITY:
It means accumulation of excessive amount of fat in the body. It is the most common nutritional disorder in U.S.A. And we also know that more than 50% of adult person in U.S.A. is overweight. It is more common in women than men. It also common in the poor people and if one have family history of obesity.
BMI (Body mass index): A value calculated as the body weight in kg divided by height in meters2.If BMI of a person above 30kg/m2 called obese person.
Relation of obesity and heart disease: Oboes people means a large amount of extra fat present his/her body. That means excessive amount fatty molecule present in the blood vessel. This cause narrows the blood vessel. As a result heart need to overwork for pump the extra amount of blood and also push the blood through the vessel wall .Thus this constriction increase tension on the heart. If there is, a formation of block in the coronary artery due to accumulation of fat, heart muscle is dies due to failure of oxygen supply to the muscle. That create heart attack. We know that obesity can cause left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH).
It is associated with development various types of disease such as:
1) diabetes mellitus
2) metabolic syndrome
3) diastolic dysfunction
4) atrial fibrillation
5) obstructive sleep disturbance
6) systemic and pulmonary hypertension
HOW ONE CAN PREVENT OBESITY: It is possible to prevent obesity .Some tips to prevent obesity is given below:
1) By Increase, physical activity/exercise we lost our weight and it is the good point for prevent obesity. Running is the popular and easy exercise for weight loss.
2) maintain a neutral caloric balance
